Frequently Asked Questions and Patient Expectations

What should I expect when I arrive?

When you arrive, you will be asked to fill out paperwork for registration.  You will then be registered by office personnel. The pre-op nurse will then take you to pre-op to get you ready. At this time, your family will be asked to wait in the lobby.  After the pre-op nurses have you ready, your family can sit with you until you are taken for your procedure/surgery.  Staff from the OR will then speak with you before your procedure.  Once the OR/Endoscopy staff takes you in for your procedure, your family will be asked to wait in the lobby.  Wait times are from 30 minutes through 4-5 hours. If you have should have any questions or concerns, you may ask someone in the front office.

How long will I be in recovery?

Recovery times are from 30 minutes through 4-5 hours, depending on the patient and the procedure which is performed.

When will the center be contacting me?

A representative from the front office will be contacting you to obtain your insurance information. After that, one of the LPN’s will be contacting you to obtain your health history information.  The day before your procedure, a representative from the front office will call you with a time to arrive at our facility for your procedure.

Will I see my physician before my procedure/surgery?

Most physicians will see you before the procedure, if they do not see you before, they will see you or your family after the procedure.
